“ From the moment I walked in, I was struck by the warm and welcoming ambiance of the Nut Tree Inn. The garden area was beautiful and the decor was elegant yet cozy, with rustic wooden beams and charming touches such as popcorn on each table. The staff were attentive and friendly, making me feel right at home. Kyle did a great job of accomadating the various allergies and the pregnancy in the group. The food was amazing. We all had the tasting menu an were treated to some truly delicious food. The beers and cocktails were also top draw. My visit to the Nut Tree Inn was a truly memorable experience. From the charming ambiance to the exceptional cuisine, everything about this establishment was top-notch. My only minor note was the lack of a dairy free alternative being available for my coffe. Overall, my visit to the Nut Tree Inn was a truly memorable experience. From the charming ambiance to the exceptional cuisine, everything about this establishment was top-notch and well worth the price. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a lovely meal in a picturesque setting ”
“ We regularly come here for the incredible food, atmosphere and Manny the donkey. Only downside is the very small portion sizes. In the picture is the chicken ballotine for 38. Even a child would be hungry after eating it. Still a 5 star for the service and taste. Edit. - been here a few more times since the original review and the food quality is still sublime. Portion sizes are now a lot better. Add a few pictures from today. ”
“ Had the most lovely Tasting lunch. The food was delicious and it was a picture on the plate. The effort to put it together was so much appreciated as I love cooking myself. I must add that everyone who waited on us was knowable about what they were serving us and most of polite and a delight. Thank you for a lovely time. ”
“ This was by far the best meal and dining experience of my life. My wife and I had a voucher for my 30th birthday, and it was truly wonderful. To start the staff were so kind, welcoming, smiley, happy, and attentive too - but not in an overwhelming way; it was perfect. They also weren’t pretentious or judgy, like some top establishments can be - so you can tell everyone genuinely cares. The food was simply divine. We had the tasting menu with the wine pairing and added a cheese board, which was amazing too. The sommelier was super insightful and knowledgeable as well, again just adding to the experience. There were too many delicious dishes to name - they were all genuinely lovely. It’s a Michelin-starred pub for a reason, and the price reflects that, but I can’t recommend The Nut Tree highly enough if you’re hoping to treat a loved one or celebrate something special. It will not disappoint. Keep up the great work, team! Sam & Lucie ”
“ Lovely visit with my fiance for our anniversary/his birthday! Food was really nice, we were sat in a quiet corner so we could actually chat! Servers were very attentive. ”
“ For food: The bread is a little soggy and tastes ordinary to me. However the rest of the courses made up for it. For the fish dish, I would prefer actual scallop to be served. Overall, the food is good and of course have space for improvement. For drinks: For me, this is the reason I gave 5 stars. The sommelier Pedro is excellent. The alcoholic pairing is perfect and suits me the most. The pairing compliments the dishes significantly. One extra notes here, it would be great is there is another option of non alcoholic pairing. ”
